Canmore Weekday Classes

All workshops meet at: #6 - 113 Bow Meadows Crescent, upstairs, Canmore

Two hour classes, one day per week for a set number of weeks. You may choose Wednesday mornings, Wednesday afternoons, Thursday mornings or Thursday afternoon classes. Space is limited so be sure to sign up early!

Winter Session:

7 weeks Fee: $90.00 (includes GST)
January 9/10 to Feb 20/21

Spring Session 1:

5 weeks Fee: $70.00 (includes GST)
March 12/13 to April 9/10

Spring Session 2:

6 weeks Fee: $80.00 (includes GST)
May 14/15 to June 18/19

Fall Session:

7 weeks Fee: $90.00 (includes GST)
October 15/16 to November 26/27

Canmore Weekend Workshops

Fee: $125.00 (includes GST)

Saturday 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM & Sunday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Workshops include demos, handouts and reviews.

January Workshop:
January 26-27 — Winter! We will paint scenes dealing with the qualities of snow.

February Workshop:
February 23-24 — A variety of subjects will be covered in this workshop, always learning about technique, value and colours.

March Workshop:
March 15-16 — Welcome Purcell Mountain Painters. Contact Victoria Page at:

April Workshop:
April 12-13 — A Spring Workshop with various subjects – one will be a flower.

May Workshop:
May 24-25 — Various subjects – always thinking about composition, colour and techniques.

June Workshop:
June 7-8 — We will focus on painting Canmore scenes: houses, mountains, streams.

August Workshop:
August 23-24 — There will be a focus on the components of a mountain landscape in this workshop. The mountains are viewed from the workshop space.

September Workshop:
September 6-7 — What better time to think about Fall colours and landscapes!

Friends of Yoho Plein Air Workshop at Lake O’Hara:
August 9 — A day of painting at Lake O’Hara, to register contact the Friends of Yoho.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

If a workshop is full or canceled, all monies will be promptly refunded.

Registrations canceled up to three weeks before the workshop start date will be refunded in full. Commitments to the hosts or lodges require that cancellations made during the three weeks prior to workshop will be forfeited unless your reservation can be filled.
